Special Events

The Thrivent Good Neighbor Project is underway. Under the leadership of Glyn Brice, Thrivent Congregational Advocate, the project includes killing the weeds and grass on the Library side of the building. Covering the area with weed control fabric and then covering the area with blown in bark dust. The project was expanded to include the hard to mow grass area by the ramp, the area under the front shrubs next to the steps, and areas around the trees in the upper parking lot. Monday is Bark Dust Day, which will wrap up the project. Glyn applied for and was awarded a $250 Action Team Grant from Thrivent. Additional funding will come from the Thrivent Choice Dollar funds which Thrivent members have directed to Mount Carmel for special projects. As Sharon says, we will look good for Easter.
